Gauri Shankar temple at Naggar, Himachal Pradesh is an ancient site built in Shikhara style (mountain peak) architecture dating back to 12th century or earlier.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati carved in an ancient stone.
There were many ancient stone carvings of other deities inside the temple.
It was 5 minutes before closing time when I reached the site. Needed my silent moment to take in the essence and existential here.
The temple is declared to be a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
Access to this temple is on an off beat road. Recommended to reach here earlier.
